#WHYAKDPHI

I originally joined aKDPhi as a way to expand my circle of friends by meeting and networking with other people. However, Asian-awareness was one of the first things that made me gravitate towards this sisterhood. As a woman of color, it’s hard to fit into such a white male dominant society and being a part of this sisterhood didn’t make me feel it was hard anymore. I was always proud of my culture, but being surrounded by other sisters from different backgrounds made me feel even more connected with my own and theirs. From then on, my why aKDPhi continually changes. But what definitely stays constant is the sisterhood that I have found in each of my sisters that cannot be replaced.
