About Me
I’m 20 years old and I was born in Sarasota, Florida, and have lived there ever since! My mom was born in Trinidad and my dad was born in Guyana, so one of my favorite foods is obviously curry and roti. I’m studying emergency management here at FSU and I hope to be an emergency manager and have an impact on people’s lives and safety in the future! I love dogs, cows, listening to Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, drinking matcha lattes and yerba mates, going to the beach, and having fun with my friends!

I decided to join aKDPhi because I was just curious to see what it was about after seeing it on instagram and hearing about it from AASU a little bit. I also wanted to challenge myself and push myself out of my comfort zone and grow as a person, as well as make some new friends as well. In addition, I also wanted to join something inclusive that celebrated and appreciated cultural awareness. I feel like I have definitely accomplished all of those things because aKDPHi has given me wonderful friends in the form of my line sisters and has encouraged me to grow into a young professional and a different person than when I first joined. It is also nice to belong to the MGC community as a whole.
