A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special.

Fall 2020 graduation

December 11th, 2020

We are so proud of our graduating sister #119 Sally Zhu. She never fails to amaze us with her ability to show her dedication to our chapter as well as balance her other responsibilities. Sally crossed Spring 2019 and quickly became someone that our chapter knew we could rely on for a helping hand in projects or even just advice when we needed it. Although we are sad to see her go, we know that she will continue to shine bright, like the beautiful diamond that she is, in whatever path she takes. We are so excited to see what the future has in store for her. Love and friendship are forever.

academic Workshop with OPB

February 18th, 2020

Classes and extracurriculars can be difficult to balance, especially when you are a member of a Greek organization. To help us out, the ladies of Omega Phi Beta invited our sisters to a study social and gave us tips on how to use our planners (or calendars) to stay on top of our responsibilities!

Here are some of the highlights:

  1. Schedule your deadlines first (things that can’t budge)

  2. Write down everything & keep it one place

  3. Break down large tasks & when writing it down, start with a verb

  4. Carve out time to plan

  5. Hold yourself accountable

Fall 2019 graduation

December 13th-14th, 2019

We could not be more proud of these two sisters for graduating this semester and putting in so much dedication to our chapter meanwhile. Our graduates, #100 Queenie Zhang and #114 Alisa Huang have held numerous executive board positions in their aKDPhi careers and completed so many successful projects with us. Queenie became a sister in Fall 2016 and has never stopped shining her “aKDPhire” everywhere she goes, helping all in need and going above and beyond to ensure the best for everyone. Alisa became a sister in Spring 2019 and immediately blossomed as a leader, being our amazing president for the Fall 2019 semester. These are the brilliant types of leaders we love to grow within aKDPhi. Although we are sad to let them go, graduation is the start of a nostalgic new chapter in these ladies’ lives, and we are thrilled to see what life has in store for them next. Love and friendship are forever.
