We had the privilege of hosting Southeast Sisterhood Conference 2021 where we were reunited with our sisters from UCF, UNF, USF, and UF! Special thank you to our alumnae sisters for sharing some of their wisdom and our guests FSU HEAL and FSU CHAW for taking the time to inform us about our personal and sexual health. Last but not least, thank you to the UF fire department for educating us on fire prevention. We loved getting to know everyone and learning at the same time! This event would not have been possible without the hard work from our VPI #117 Karin Okamura.

That’s the day that eleven diamond-strong women- Rizcion Dagani, Diane Dossa, Ruby Estoy, Clarissa Ignacio, Chantal Lie, Gillian Lie, Diana Nguyen, Cynthia Samar, Jessica Shultz, Victoria VanWycke, and Leslie Zabala- became the Florida State University aKDPhi Charter Class. Cheers to the sisters that led the way for us here at Florida State University 20 years ago! We can’t wait to see where our Love and Friendship takes us in the future!
Origami hearts and notes of appreciation

Founders’ Week
February 8th-12th 2021
Our sisters kicked off Founders’ Week with a Myers-Briggs plus Harry Potter Exploration event then our DIY mask fundraiser then our Conflict Management plus Leadership Development workshop and finally topped off this special week with an Instagram reel of two of our sisters making cultural food- Vietnamese Chuối Chiên and Filipino Lumpia! We couldn’t have asked for a better week to celebrate our Founders. Thanks to our VPE #120 Danielle Cabansay for all your hard work leading these events.

‘Guess Who?’ sister Edition

In the midst of a pandemic, our Sisterhood Chairs #121 Gracelin Clark & #106 Adrija Das, quickly adjusted to the new ‘Zoom life’ and came up with this cute event for all of our sisters to join! After anonymously submitting fun facts about ourselves to our Sisterhood Chair, everyone had to guess who the fun fact belonged to when read aloud. This event really brought everyone together — some new things were definitely learned!
Galentine’s Day 💝

We love our sisters!! ❤️ To celebrate this day of love and friendship, our Sisterhood Chair, #115 Sage Kim, organized a little pre-Valentine’s Day gift exchange with sisters. This night was filled with presents and cards containing sweet messages and treats. But of course, it’s not complete without at least one squishmallow!

On this day 30 years ago, 14 womxn at the University of California, Berkeley, founded the very first chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc. To celebrate, our chapter at home shared a sisterhood dinner at MASA, where they enjoyed Asian fusion food and got to reconnect with some alumnae who came to celebrate as well. aKDphi in the big apple 🍎
December 15th - 19th, 2019
This winter adventure was one for the books! Our aKDPhi adventurers set off at 6am, with their winter coats on and their friends from Sigma Beta Rho fraternity at their side. This exciting (and cold!) week in the big city filled our bellies with the most delectable dumplings and a mountain of boba pearls! Not to mention the best Vietnamese subs from Banh Mi Saigon. Aside from the good eats, our sisters connected with our alumna sister, #61 Christina Duong, as well as our chapter of sisters from Syracuse University. Our lovely New York sisters even got to witness these Floridians experiencing their first snow! Without a doubt, the friendships built and the memories made on trips like this are timeless as ever. We definitely hope to return again in the future!

It’s the holiday season, and our sisters are very much in the gift-giving spirit! This December, we exchanged secret gifts between sisters and, needless to say, everyone loved their presents. This sisterhood was complete with four adorable Squishmallows, some cozy winter gear, bedazzled barrettes, and even some amazing homemade gifts. Happy holidays from your favorite sisters! ❄
North florida fair 🎡

Experiencing opening night of the fair with our lovely sisters was by far one of the most fun sisterhood events of the semester so far! The abundance of sweet carnival food paired with the wondrous lights of the fairgrounds is simply irresistible in the fall. The fair surely made for a thrilling, memorable night with the girls!
